The Baby Einstein Neighbourhood Animals
DVD takes your child on a trip around the
neighbourhood to meet furry friends that live in
and around the home. Utilising the unique features
of DVD, Neighbourhood Animals creates a fun
and multi-sensory play resource for parents,
infants and toddlers. The Neighbourhood Animals
DVD consists of three activity centres -- The Home
Theatre, The Classical Animals Concert Hall and the
Animal Discovery Cards. The Neighbourhood
Animals DVD has a total running time of 74
minutes and is coded for all Australia and New
Zealand.
The Baby Einstein Neighbourhood Animals
DVD is organised for easy navigation. Programming
maps and chapter indices are provided in the
Printable Parents Guide.
The Home Theatre
The Neighbourhood Animals video features
playful puppet hosts and is divided into 12
vignettes, each dedicated to an animal that can be
found close to home. Neighbourhood Animals
allows you to have fun and interact with your child
while exposing them to real-world images of animals
and charming classical music.
Concert Hall
Enchanting listening experiences await you and
your child in the Neighbourhood Animals Concert
Hall. Baby Einstein’s Neighbourhood Animals
features music from the 18th, 19th and early 20th
centuries, including pieces by Rimsky-Korsakov,
Beethoven, Vivaldi, Scarlatti and Pachebel.
Animal Discovery Cards
Interactive Discovery Cards are an innovative
application of DVD technology. Baby Einstein’s
Animal Discovery Cards have been recreated in
video still frames. Parents and children can “step”
through the 29 visuals, identifying animals,
labelling the pictures with written vocabulary
words and listening to the natural sounds made by
the animals. Two viewing modes — Learn the Animal
and Guess the Animal — make the learning challenge
fun.
Resources
All Baby Einstein videos feature a variety of
toys from other manufacturers. Included in the
Neighbourhood Animals DVD are catalogues of the
toys featured in the Neighbourhood Animals
video. The Baby Einstein Company does not sell
these items.
